Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which Referee Courses [school] collects, uses, maintains and discloses information collected from users (each, a “Student”) of the School. This Privacy Policy applies to the School and all Courses offered by the School.

Categories of Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information from Students:

  • Contact information: name, email address, mailing address, phone number
  • Account information: username, password (encrypted), enrollment and Course history
  • Payment information: billing address and payment details, processed by our third-party payment processor (see "Third-Party Service Providers" below) — we do not store full payment card numbers on our own servers
  • Usage data: pages visited, Course progress and completion status, time spent in Courses, device and browser type, IP address
  • Communications: messages you send us through contact forms, support requests, or email

Students may browse portions of the School anonymously. We collect personal identification information only when voluntarily submitted. Declining to provide certain information may limit your ability to enroll in Courses or use related features.

How we use collected information

The School may collect and use Students’ personal identification information for the following purposes:

  • To improve customer service
Information you provide helps us respond to your customer service requests and support needs more efficiently.
  • To personalize user experience
We may use information in the aggregate to understand how our Students as a group use the services and resources provided in our School.
  • To send periodic emails
We may use Student email addresses to send Students information and updates pertaining to their order. Student email addresses may also be used to respond to Student inquiries, questions, or other requests.

Sharing your personal information

We do not sell, trade, or rent Student personal identification information to third parties. We may share information with third-party service providers as described in "Third-Party Service Providers" above, or as required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Third-Party Websites

Student may find advertising or other content in our School that link to the websites and services of our partners, suppliers, advertisers, sponsors, licensors and other third parties. We do not control the content or links that appear on these websites and are not responsible for the practices employed by websites linked to or from our School. In addition, these websites or services, including their content and links, may be constantly changing. These websites and services may have their own privacy policies and customer service policies. Browsing and interaction on any other website, including websites which have a link to our Student, is subject to that website's own terms and policies.

Third-Party Service Providers

We work with third-party service providers to operate the School, including for payment processing, email delivery and course platform hosting, and website analytics. These providers receive only the information necessary to perform their function and are contractually restricted from using it for any other purpose. We do not sell, trade, or rent Student personal identification information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The School may use cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies to operate the site, remember your preferences, and understand how Students use our Courses in aggregate. This may include analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) [and remarketing/advertising pixels, if applicable — remove if you don't run any ad pixels]. You can set your browser to refuse cookies, though some site features may not function properly if you do so.

Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect Student personal information from unauthorized access, use, alteration, or disclosure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention

We retain Student personal information for as long as your account remains active or as needed to provide Courses and related services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Course completion and progress records may be retained beyond account closure for record-keeping purposes.

Children's Privacy

The School is intended for users age 13 and older, consistent with our Terms of Use. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will delete that information promptly. Parents who believe their child has provided us information without consent should contact us.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights to know what personal information we collect about you, request deletion of that information, and opt out of certain sharing of information (as broadly defined under some state privacy laws). To exercise these rights, contact us. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy rights.

Data Breach Notification

In the event of a data breach affecting Student personal information, we will notify affected Students and take other steps as required by applicable law.
